Tuesday Treats
While Generic Ministry's primary mission is to help support people living on the streets in Boston, we're proud that we provide a direct connection for suburbanites who want to Get Involved with hands-on ways to directly help others in our area.
We've heard from many of you that you'd like to give your teens a way to participate in our van missions into the city each week. After a few months of trials with fantastic volunteer Marilyn Komessar and her family, we are thrilled to unveil our All-New Tuesday Treats program.
Here's how it works:
Adult volunteers who have been on the Generic Ministry van 2-3x or more are welcome to sign up with their teen/family (age 12+).
You bring the treats! Recent goodies include homemade smoothies, donuts and hot chocolate, and cookies and apple cider.
Tuesday Treats volunteers drive themselves into Boston and meet the Generic Ministry van at our Park Street location on a Tuesday evening.
Volunteers hand out the treats while our clients wait to receive their supplies from the van.
